I just wanted to point out to all the readers who might be interested, that John Morgan over at Field Gulls, has started a series of write ups to help readers understand each position on the field better.

Some of you may find this to be a bit on the basic side, but I will admit that I often take for granted peoples understanding of the game when writing. John has a unique talent for breaking down the individual assignments of players/positions. Here is the first post. If you are a reader who feels they could use a brush up on football terminology, or just wants a straightforward explanation of each positions goals and assignments, I suggest you bookmark and check Field Gulls over the next couple weeks and read up.
