The reported figures on the Asante Samuel deal are only 5 yrs and 47 mil. This is according to Profootballtalk.com. Those of you who are math challenged, let me help. It is not 10 mil per. It is just over 9 million per. This is good news why?

Well Marcus Trufant's franchise tender is for 9.5, approximately. A long term deal would allow them to lower the first year cap hit. If these figures are right, it should put the two sides a lot closer together. Lets hope they get it done in time to continue improving this team. END OF POST
